Autumn in the Lakes

2003 was a year with a particularly beautiful and hot summer. After I had spent 2 weeks in July in the Lakes I wanted to go there again as soon as possible. I was stunned by the beauty of the landscape. Seeing places like Grasmere from north-eastern hills it was easy to imagine how Tolkien's 'The Shire' would have looked like if it ever had existed.
